Google Position Checker Tool: Stop Wasting Time Searching Your Own Keywords

by Preston Schumacher

Guilty!

Before finding a decent Google position checker tool to monitor my optimized keywords I was wasting several hours a week searching my own keywords to see how they were positioning on the search engines (mainly “big G” because they have the most traffic). Like most entrepreneurs online we suffer from time wasting activities slipping onto our lives.

My most recent “time eating gremlin” encounter of constantly checking my own keyword rankings led me to an awesome solution for bloggers and online entrepreneurs alike.

Man! I was just getting over the “time devouring” habit of checking my email account a dozen times a day.

Google Position Checker Tool Walk Through

To use the Google position checker tool I used in the video above you need to have a self-hosted WordPress blog.

Whether it is checking your social accounts every 30 minutes or struggling from an “email strangle hold” like I was, identifying your biggest time eaters and them zapping them out of the way is vital to seeing positive growth in your online business.

My wife and i got quite relieved when Emmanuel managed to complete his investigation via the precious recommendations he was given using your weblog. It is now and again perplexing just to always be making a gift of ideas that many some people may have been trying to sell. And we take into account we need the writer to be grateful to because of that. These illustrations you made, the straightforward blog navigation, the relationships you make it easier to promote – it’s mostly amazing, and it’s really letting our son in addition to us reckon that this article is amusing, which is tremendously pressing. Thank you for everything!

Hi Preston, that looks like a great plug-in for a single Wordpress blog. I agree with you that we need to look at all our “time wasters” and find way to do those things more quickly. Have you heard of a tool called Market Samurai? It checks for positions of any number of keywords on 1 or more websites you add to the tool. It doesn’t graph the positions like this plug in, but it does give all the stats.

I was not aware of that. I am always learning new uses for Market Samurai.

However I do like the fact that the rank checker plug in I refer to in this post is right in my Wordpress dashboard.

I normally look through my webalizer, as well as Google Analytics and even Alexa. I am not much for adding more plugins to my website anymore as a WordPress developer. I test a lot, but actual use is a little over a dozen.

I will have to check out the tool on a test site. Might be something I can let people know at the next WordCamp I am at. :)

I was curious what WordCamp was so I looked it up. Looks like a cool event related to everything Wordpress.

Even cooler they are having an event right here in my hometown San Diego.

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all. Nevertheless think of if you added some great pictures or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this website could definitely be one of the most beneficial in its niche. Superb blog!

Preston Schumacher February 19, 2012 at

Thanks for the advice Maryetta. I will definitely take it into consideration:)
